Barnsley FC Supporters Trust

It does not seem too long since we won the play-off final at Cardiff, but the new season is here once again and we welcome Cardiff City and their supporters to Oakwell. The Supporters Trust have arranged the next meeting for the 9 th August. This meeting will be held at the Oakwell Executive Suite at Oakwell and starts at 7.00pm. The meeting is open to all members of the Supporters Trust and Oakwell Juniors. Non members can attend the meeting if they sign up to join the Trust on the night. Barnsley FC and the Supporters Trust have agreed to join the Junior Supporters Away game ticket offer.  For the following games the Supporters Trust will be given 50 tickets for away games at Norwich , Burnley, Preston and Derby .  In all cases the Junior Supporters must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  If you are interested in these offers please contact Alan Bloore as soon as possible to reserve your tickets and ensure that you quote you Oakwell Juniors Membership number.

And finally!!!.. In August 1985 the Disabled stand at Oakwell was opened and our first opponents were Cardiff City . The two ladies who looked after the supporters with drinks and pies were Margaret Dunstan and Joan Dawson. After 21years this August the two ladies are still working in the Disabled Stand and our opponents are once again Cardiff City in the Champions League.
