Programme notes for Colchester
The Supporters Trust were saddened to hear of the recent death of Barnsley legend, Johnny Steele aged 91 and we would like to send our condolences to his family and friends at this time. It was only last year, that some members of the Trust shared Johnnyís 90th birthday with him, and gave him a tour of Oakwell The Trust Chair, Treasurer and club historian along with former members of the press joined past and present members of staff at Barnsley FC and former players including Allan Clarke, Colin Walker, Eric Winstanley, Pat Howard, Les Lea, Brian Arblaster, Roy Ironside, Alan Hill, George Boardman, George Kerr, Frank Beaumont, Philip Roscoe, Brian Matthews and Barry Murphy at Johnís funeral. Rest in Peace Johnny Steele, aka Mr Barnsley, 1916-2007.

The next meeting of the Supporters Trust has been arranged for the 5th February (subject to any potential FA Cup game). More details of this meeting will be announced on our website and in the local press.

The away Junior match ticket games are coming thick and fast. Following the recent game at QPR, the next two games are against Coventry City and Norwich City. Tickets for Coventry are going fast, whilst the tickets for Norwicjh City have all gone, and we are operating a waiting list system in case people drop out. We will also be running a coach to both games. If you are interested please contact Alan Bloore as soon as possible.

The Trust have arranged to meet with Barnsley Chamber of Commerce to discuss the Make a Tyke Smile, where we purchase tickets for disadvantaged or deserving people in Barnsley to come down to Oakwell and watch Barnsley FC. Please keep an eye on the local press and on the websited for more details.

The Trust has also agreed to sponsor the forthcoming game against West Brom. If you are interested in this package contact Alan Bloore for details or visit our website. Places on these events generally fill up quickly, so do not delay and contact us today.

Disabled Issues
Members of the Supporters Trust Board attended a meeting organised by the National Association of Disabled Supporters (NADS) at Wembley on the 30th January to discuss issues that affect disabled supporters. The Trust board members attended as representatives of both the football club and the Trust.

Liverpool Ticket Information
Barnsley will face Liverpool in a massive FA Cup Fifth Round clash on Saturday February 16, 2008, KO 3.00pm.

Tickets for the big game are priced at:

Adults - £24.00
Senior Citizens (Over 65) - £18.00
Juveniles (Under 16) - £12.00
Disabled supporters must contact the Oakwell Box Office.
Barnsley Football Club have been allocated 6,000 tickets for the game.

Ticket Sales
Season Ticket holders
Tickets will initially go on sale to Season Ticket Holders Only - TWO PER SEASON TICKET - on production of SPECIAL MATCH VOUCHER E.

Subject to availability, Season Ticket Holders will be able to purchase their tickets from 9.00am on Monday February 4 until close of business on Saturday February 9, 2008.

Colchester Ticket Stub Holders
Subject to availability, supporters who attended the game against Colchester United (Tuesday January 29) will be able to purchase ONE TICKET ONLY PER TICKET STUBB on Monday February 11 and Tuesday February 12, 2008. Supporters MUST produce their tickets stub from the Colchester United game upon booking their tickets.

Oakwell Centenary Society Members
Subject to availability, members of the Oakwell Centenary Society will be able to purchase ONE TICKET ONLY on Monday February 11 and Tuesday February 12, 2008.

General Sale
Subject to availability, any remaining tickets will go on General Sale at 9.00am on Wednesday February 13, 2008.

Due to anticipated demand for tickets for this fixture the Oakwell Box Office will be open until 7.00pm on Thursday February 7, Friday February 8, Tuesday February 12* and Friday February 15*, 2008. (*Subject to availability).

Official Reds On The Road coaches will be making the trip to Anfield. Coaches will depart Oakwell at 12 noon on the day of the game and the fare is £13.00.

No Telephone Sales

The Oakwell Box Office has confirmed that it will not be taking telephone bookings from season ticket holders for the forthcoming FA Cup Fifth Round clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

Postal Applications accepted

Season ticket holders can, however, apply for tickets through the post by sending in a cheque or card details together with Special Match Voucher E from their season ticket book. Season ticket holders applying for tickets through the post must also enclose a self addressed and postage paid envelope which must be sent back by special delivery.

Monthly Draw Winners
The monthly draw for a £10 voucher for the superstore at Oakwell has just been drawn.

The winning membership number for the members draw was:

Membership number 444 - Mr Ernest Hall of Silkstone Common, Barnsley.

The winning membership number for the Oakwell Juniors was

Membership number 832 Master Callum Turner of Goldthorpe, Rotherham

The vouchers are on there way to both Callum and Ernest.
