Travel to Wembley Update
Barnsley FC are running a fleet of 60 coaches to wembley, however, all seats are sold. Local clubs and pubs in Barnsley are running coaches and a few places may be available.

Tube Strike
The LONDON Underground's two biggest unions today (Friday) announced joint strike dates for more than 7,500 of their station staff and train operator members.

RMT and TSSA members, who are in dispute with the company over a raft of safety and staffing issues, will walk out from 6.30pm on Sunday, April 6 until 6.30pm on Wednesday, April 9 after voting by five to one and four to one respectively for action. This may cause problems at the end of the game against Cardiff.

However, the RMT Union has today stated that although the planned industrial action will start at 6.30pm, Underground staff working prior to this time will continue until the end of their shift and there will be 'very little disruption on Sunday'.

For those who plan to travel to Wembley by car, please note that car parking is very restricted and is classified as a public transport destination. Full details of the public transport infrastructure can be found at the following website wembley stadium, how to get there This site has details of national express, national rail and local underground and overground information. For those driving, Stanmore tube station may be a good choice to park and then jump on the tube to wembley, however, this is likely to be very busy and may not be an option if the tube strike does occur. Some local websites to wembley are offering parking deals, some of which have been advertised on ebay. For those driving, it may be a better bet to stop at either Watford or Milton Keynes train station and catch a train direct to Wembley stadium.

London Midland offer a direct service to Wembley Central from Milton Keynes Central every half hour for £16.50 return. Journey time is 59 mins

Trust Press Release
Barnsley FC Supporters’ Trust would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to ALL the staff at Barnsley Football Club who have worked tirelessly and for long hours throughout all the ticket sales at Oakwell over the past 6 weeks.

Throughout this period we have witnessed first hand some of the abuse they have had to cope with. To their credit they have tried wherever possible to satisfy the requests of those purchasing tickets within the guidelines laid down. It was never going to be an easy task given the time and number of tickets to distribute.

In addition we would like to thank all our volunteers who gave up their own time to help with marshalling the queues and offering advice and guidance to their fellow supporters.

We have heard from other clubs involved in the Semi-Finals who have utilised technology that has not been able to cope with demand, causing them far more problems than the system employed by Barnsley FC.

We appreciate that everything was not perfect. However, who would have forecast the events of the past 6 weeks and Barnsley FC reaching an FA CUP SEMI- FINAL! Barnsley FC have acknowledged this and are prepared to work with Supporters ideas submitted through the Supporters’ Trust to try and get a fairer system of ticket distribution for the future.
