The Supporters Trust are saddened to hear of the death of respected Journalist Benny Hill at the age of 82.  Benny was a stalwart of the Supporters Trust and helped to raise thousands of pounds for the football club during the administration period at Barnsley. 

Benny was a well respected journalist who ran the popular Benny Hill's Press night in december each year for the Supporters Trust.  Benny also edited the Stop Press page of the Oakwell Review, the match day magazine for Barnsley FC for the last 36 seasons, where he got many famous journalists to write articles for the magazine. 

Benny was also part of the museum group, dedicated to cataloguing and recording the various pieces of memorabilia and information on the history of Barnsley FC.

We would like to pass on our condolences to Benny's wife Dinah, his family and friends at this time.  Benny we will all miss you
