The Supporters Trust has organized a race night for Saturday 8th May at The Limes Bar, Staincross Golf Club, A61 Wakefield Road, Staincross (only 3 miles North of Barnsley).
ALL TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD OUT for this event, so buy your tickets today or you may miss out on the big end of season event.
You can still purchase a jockey for the event at just £3.00. If your Jockey wins, then you will win a £10 voucher to use in the club shop at Oakwell.
The first race is under orders at 8.00pm. There will be 9 races during the evening, with eight runners in each race. There will also be an auction and raffle on the night.
All monies raised will go towards
- The Supporters Trust Funds
- Barnsley Hospital Radio, to help towards the running costs for the math day commentaries that they run. BHR require about £500 per year to operate the football commentaries and at the last fans forum meeting, the members voted unanimously to help support BHR in raising the funds so that they can operate for the next 12 months.
Tickets to the event cost just £5.00 per person and include a pie and pea supper. All the races are now sponsored and the programme for the event has also been kindly sponsored. We are currently looking for sponsors for all the horses and jockey’s, so for the first 8 races you can sponsor and name a horse and / or Jockey for just £3.00. The winning horse and jockey in each race will win a £10 voucher.
