On Saturday, the Supporters Trust donated £500 to Barnsley Hospital Radio to enable the radio station to continue broadcasting live home commentaries to the patients of Barnsley Hospital. The Hospital station required £500 to enable them to provide the service for the 2010/2011 season, so it was agreed that the Supporters Trust would support the radio station and help to raise the money required. The Trust held a race night at the end of last season which was so successful, that the full amount was raised for the radio station with one event.
The Trust has agreed to continue to support the radio station over the next 12 months.
