HM Forces Tykes Target Challenge

 The Tykes Target Challenge comptition for the Doncaster game, when two members of HM Armed Forces were invited to take part in the popular half time game at Oakwell.  This game was selected as the closest match to the 11th November, and was set up as a tribute to the courage of our forces and in memory of those who have sacrificed so much for the country.

 

The two competitors were
 
John Ding from Barugh Green
Serves in the RAF and based at RAF Marham in Norfolk.
he has served in Afghanistan
 
Matthew Tyas from Cudworth
serves in the Royal Engineers and based at Windish in Cambridge
 
The winner on the day was Matthew and both competitors received an autographed football.
