Barnsley FC Supporters Trust are disappointed to hear of the damage caused by Manchester United fans to the refreshment facility in the north stand at Oakwell and their conduct towards the staff in the bar areas. The Trust does not condone such gratuitous violence and hopes that the Club and Police will have success in bringing the culprits to justice, together with those guilty of the bottle and coin throwing incidents. Such behaviour has no place in the game.

 In addition, the Trust will support the Club and Police in any action taken against the three people who entered the field of play, towards the end of the game, from the Pontefract Road End of the stadium.

Some supporters may think this action is funny but behaviour of this sort can have serious repercussions on Barnsley FC in the form of sanctions being taken against the club. It also reflects badly on all Barnsley Supporters and how we are perceived by other clubs and police forces. This ultimately decides how they deal with us at all games.
