The Barnsley FC Supporters Trust
“Barnsley FC Supporters Trust would like
to welcome back the Supporters of Walsall for this 3rd round FA Cup tie”
Due to the re-arrangement of the
Gillingham fixture for the 10th January, the next Trust meeting will be
on the 11th January at Brooklands. More details of the meeting can be found on
our website, at the Supporters Office or on posters located around the ground.
The meeting is open to all Trust members; non members can attend the meeting if
you join the Trust on the night.
The Supporters Trust is running a
sponsorship package for the MK Dons game on the 21st January. As with
previous sponsorship packages we have 40 tickets. The initial prices are as
follows; season ticket holders £ 25.00, non season ticket holders £35.00 and
juniors £ 10.00. If we get over 30 taking up this offer the prices drop for both
adult categories by £ 5.00 per ticket and juniors by £ 2.50. The price includes a
meal before the game, access to the Executive suite before, Half time and at Full
time, or you can stay in the Executive suite and watch the game.

Following discussions with the Board of
Directors at Barnsley, the Trust have agreed to raise funds for the academy at
Oakwell. As we all know, several of the first team squad including Antony Kay,
Neil Austin Robbie Williams, Nicky Wroe, Scott Flinders, Nathan Jarman and Dale
Tonge to name just seven started their careers at the Academy. Most of these
players will be in the squad for today’s game. With the support of the Trust
through our fundraising, we hope that the academy can continue to produce the next
group of Barnsley stars.
As part of this fundraising, all monies
raised through our online shop at will go towards this fundraising. The Trust
would like to thank everyone who used the online shop at
www.buy.at/barnsleyfcsupporters and the other
collaborators on our website including Argos, BA and lastminute.com. With your
support we raised over £100 in commission during the run up to Christmas, all of
which will go towards our Academy project.
We will be re-introducing the “Sponsor a
Seat” campaign to help with the fundraising, we plan to launch this scheme at our
meeting on the 11th January. We have several other projects in the
planning stage including an online monthly quiz, an online “sponsor a pixel”
scheme as well as other initiatives.
To join the Supporters’ Trust or to renew
please complete a membership form available from the Supporters office or visit
our website. Membership starts from £4.00 per years for disabled and the over
60’s and £7.50 per years for adults. Membership
of the Oakwell Juniors is £4.00. Remember that
membership of the Oakwell Juniors or the Trust will enable you to gain a 10%
discount in the club shop and entry into a monthly draw for a £10 voucher to be
spent in the club shop as well as give you access to our monthly meetings.
