Daniel Wellbourne would like to thank the trust and Burnley FC for a belated christmas present. Daniel was the Barnsley mascot and this is what he had to say."At 3pm on Boxing Day I experienced the proudest moment of my life when I led my team Barnsley FC out of the tunnel at Turf Moor. I had a fantastic day meeting all the players and getting the chance to warm up on the pitch. Everyone made me feel very welcome, even though the Burnley Photographer tried to make fun of my favourite player JCR he said he had heard of boiled rice and fried rice but not Campbell Rice, however I'm sure he's heard of him now.To get the last away win of 2008 made the day even better, I proved to be a lucky mascot. Stephen Foster said in the tunnel that he would make it a special day for me and it certainly was. Thank you everyone and Come on You Reds!"Many thanks for this Daniel and we are glad that you enjoyed day. For more information on how to become an away mascot email [email protected]
